Hi, I'm Siddhant Bal!

3D Technical Artist with 6+ years of experience specializing in 3D look dev, procedural texturing, and lighting for animation and XR experiences. Passionate about bridging art, 3D math, and technology to create immersive visuals for interactive environments. Also, I love storytelling, reading manga, and solving puzzles (especially Kakuro)!

"Immersion in Georges Seurat’s Painting “La Grande Jatte” with VR: A study for Art Appreciation"

My Graduate Research Thesis, wherein a user's understanding of George Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" was studied in the VR environments: a 3D reproduction of the painting and a 3D Museum.

Here are some of my ongoing project work, with my character focus being Mathilda (Modelled and rigged by Leon Li-Aun Sooi and Xiong Lin). I have performed the UV mapping, texturing, look development and lighting on the model (along with nhair shading).

Having completed my undergraduate studies at College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, I'm currently enrolled in the Computer Graphics Technology(CGT) Graduate Program at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
